3 things to know about Hydroplaning
- Vehicle Speed: The faster you go, the less wet traction your vehicle has.
- Water Depth: The deeper the water, the easier it is to lose traction
- Tire Tread Depth can be a major culprit in Hydroplaning accidents. The more worn out the tire is the easier it is to lose traction and control.
Ice & Snow Conditions
- Always keep your distance. Toyo recommends at least 12 times more stopping distance on winter roads.
- Reduce your speed. Even if the roads look bare, black ice can be a silent killer.
- Make sure the tread is in good shape on your tires. The more worn the less grip provided.

- Inspection: This is when your technician checks to make sure your tires are in good shape for the road. And when Repair or Replace can come into play.
