Introducing the 2013 Nissan Altima
Introduced 2 decades ago, the Nissan Altima has always been a top contender in it’s class. Now, I know we showed you a sneak peak a few weeks back. But really that was just the tip of the iceberg for this new & improved mid-sized sedan. The real show was at the New York Auto Show. Introduced by a deep voice to a silent crowd, the 2013 Altima cruised onto the stage in utter elegance. The crowd stayed silent while the host announced all the new & exciting attributes to this beautiful sedan.
Highlighted New Features Include:
-Premium exterior styling with a powerful presence and improved aerodynamics.
-Upscale interior rivaling premium luxury sedans, including NASA-inspired “zero-gravity” seats, an Advanced Drive-Assist™ Display and BOSE® Premium Audio System.
-Next-generation Safety Shield Technologies, including Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Moving Object Detection (MOD) systems.
Presented in two models, One with a 2.5-liter inline-four engine and the other a 3.5-liter V6 which is probably the only thing that hasn’t changed about the new 2012 Altima. The biggest news is the CVT has been changed drastically, which we discussed in your sneak peak post. The transmission will be much smoother in the new Altima with revised gear ratio. Spread out to allow the new sedan to win in the fuel economy class. Your Nissan Store is extremely excited about this unveil & cannot wait to have the 2013 Altima in the showroom.
“The team behind the development of the new fifth generation Altima didn’t stop with the major components and systems – they also made numerous, almost imperceptible enhancements to nearly every aspect of the driving experience.”
