When I started looking into the Nissan NV to build out our content page, I kept finding more and more to love about these vehicles. My own family’s trade is ceramic tile and installation, and my father of 65 years is *still* working in the business. The man is a workhorse, no doubt about it.
I was hauling bags of cement since I was ten years old, and over the years I had the opportunity to learn the trade too, to work in and around both commercial construction and residential renovations for a very long time. All through my research on the NV, I kept finding these great little features that related to my experience with the tile trade, and I kept thinking, “Jeez, why didn’t we get one of THESE back when I was still installing tile?”
This commercial van just blew me away. The high roof is easy to enter into and walk around in. Looking around the spacious interior, examining the pre-drilled, flat walls; designed for upfitting, I could just imagine all the trowels and sponges and buckets and cutters all neatly organized, just like my dad’s workshop at home.
The space, the size, and the options available with this vehicle just left me stunned – for years I have watched my father work out of the back of a midsized SUV – it would be like night and day if I could get him into this. No more needless bending over and struggling tools into and out of the back of a hatch – and no more worrying about overloading the truck with heavy tile to get to the jobsite. The new Nissan NV is a tank, backed up by a round-the-clock maintenance plan, available in 3500 HD packages… it works at LEAST as hard as you do.
I think what struck me most about the NV was probably the cabin though. For all it’s utilitarian, cavernous space in the back, the cabin and driver’s seat felt like an agile pickup. As I explored, I kept finding neat little pockets and cubbies and just really stellar, intelligent interior design. I kept getting this really gleeful sense that a lot of thought went into this van, like they actually cared about the people that will use these things when they started drawing it up.
