Nissan FINALLY revealed the new 2013 Nissan Pathfinder design, and wow, does it ever look gorgeous. This is a huge development. Nissan mentioned that they intend to pair a 3.5L V6 to a CVT transmission for this one, which should account for 25% better fuel economy!
And I don’t know about you, but I love the new styling, big hunched shoulders and a muscular stance, with the swooping sides of the new Nissan Maxima. Really well executed look, this is a perfect example of a modern SUV, and what’s best, it still remains something of a classical look and shape. Some of Hyundai’s stuff they’re doing with the Tucson and the Sonata are nice, but strike me as almost a ‘fad’ design.
When you look over the last 10-15 years of car design, there’s been certain styling elements that really held strong, and certain elements that faded out fast. I think the new 2013 Nissan Pathfinder’s design is a big winner, very sleek and modern, very classy as well. Well done Nissan!
Maybe the most impressive news from the show, though, was that Nissan announced a second, COMPLETELY NEW vehicle at the New York Auto Show in April 2012 – and NO Nissan outsider has ever seen anything about it. Any thoughts, guesses on what it might be? Comment below!
